Cozy Kitchen Update
One of my favorite home décor influencers/bloggers Liz Marie Galvan recently announced she was releasing another book this fall titled, “Cozy White Cottage Seasons: 100 Ways to Be Cozy All Year Long”. Her first book, “Cozy White Cottage: 100 Ways to Love the Feeling of Being Home” is one of my favorite books to pick up when I am looking for inspiration for our home. So, when she announced her second book, I knew I had to have it! On top of the exciting fact that she was releasing another book, when you pre-ordered her book, you received a free digital photo copy of one of the signs from her home. To have an item that is displayed in the home of one of my favorite influencers, sealed the deal that I needed to order her second book!!! Here is the sign at her home:

After preordering the book, I took the digital print that I received and went onto my favorite photo print website (I typically use Snapfish for their affordable prices and great customer service) and created a canvas print. I always make sure I have a coupon code when creating prints, since canvas prints can be pricey. The coupon code I had, took about 75% off my total. I choose a 20×30 size (based on the area I knew where I wanted to hang the print) and cropped the image to fit. I received the canvas print in the mail and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the canvas turned out. We hung the canvas by our side door that leads to the pool, and below that, we hung a rusted accordion style coat hanger. I thought this would be a good spot to place the hanger since towels for the pool could be hung here or when pool season is over, a good place to hang things for the kitchen.

I chose a rusted accordion style coat hanger, but there are multiple coat hanger options out there (I’ll share another wooden option I love below). I love the look of the accordion coat hanger! On our coat hanger, I hung tea towels, knitted pot holders, and a few shopping bags. When styling hanging pegs or shelves, I make sure to add items with different textures, patterns, and heights. For this hanger, I made sure that everything was hanging at different heights. I added the knitted pot holders for texture along with the knitted vintage French market bags. I also added a striped tea towel for pattern since everything else I hung here is either white or cream. Following these simple tips will help your hanging pegs or even shelves pop and will be visually appealing to the eye.

Thank you to Liz Marie Galvan of Cozy White Cottage for the inspiration to update this corner of our home. Check out her blog for inspiration, tips, tricks, and beautiful home décor.
