Thursday Trouve – Year-Round Rabbit Decor

It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for Thursday Trouve (that’s French for find)! This week, I’m bringing you rabbit décor that can be styled in your home year around. As I was looking around our home recently, I noticed that I had quite a few rabbit figurines and items styled in our home. I started thinking, is it ok that I have rabbit décor out in fall? Aren’t rabbits for spring décor only? I am not sure why I was second guessing myself because in décor there are no rules! That’s the beauty of decorating our homes, we can do whatever we want! Rabbits do typically signal spring & Easter, yes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle some bunny décor here in there in the fall or any other season. The items in this weeks trouve will show you that you can break the rules and rabbits can be styled in your home even in the fall. You will notice that most of the rabbit figurines are gold or bronze. Those colors are typically in fall décor so those figurines should fit in perfectly with the rest of your fall items. Don’t be scared to try something new! I hope this blog post gives you the freedom to use rabbit décor in your home at other times of the year other than spring.

Here is the roundup of items featured in this week’s Rabbit edition of Thursday Trouve!

Standing Brass Rabbit & Bowl Eric from Eric + Eloise

I’ve had this standing rabbit with bowl for a couple of years and it is one of my favorite items in our home! There is something so whimsical yet so sophisticated about this piece, not to mention I love the details and color. I typically have this rabbit styled on our bookshelves with a candle in the bowl. But there are so many other things you could put in the bowl. It could be used to hold candy, small greenery or florals, ribbon, or maybe some small collectibles you have. I love the items from Eric & Eloise storybook collection, they have cute animal décor items from the standing animals, to animal candleholders, to even wall mounted metal animal heads (all in the bronze color of course!).

Bronze Resin Bunny Shaped (Set of 2 Pieces) Bookends from Creative Co-Op

These are the only bookends I have in the house. The great thing about these bookends is that they don’t just have to hold books, you can use them them on their own for styling around your home! I’ve added them as single figurines on shelves around the house. Right now, I am using them to hold up books I have on our sofa console table. They come as a set of two and for the price you cannot beat these cute bookends!

Hares Linen Pillow Cover from The Linen Rabbit

This is one of my most favorite recent purchases! This linen/cotton pillow cover is just adorable with brown hares on the front of the pillow, a solid cream back, and the cutest ribbon ties on top. The quality of this pillow cover is amazing! This pillow cover is sold on Etsy by a small business owner who only releases a limited amount of items throughout the year. I found out her product release date on Instagram, went to her Etsy shop during her business hours, and was able to snag this pillow cover while she had a few left in stock (items sell out very quickly, so don’t hesitate). You can sign up for email notifications when items become available in her store. All of The Linen Rabbit items are beautifully handmade in Kentucky. She does sell pillow covers with the inserts, so that is an option if you don’t have your own inserts. I love supporting small businesses and this is one you should definitely shop.

Vintage Bunnies Print from BFF Print Shop

BFF Print Shop is one of my favorite online resources for prints. They have a large selection of prints and photographs that can be purchased as a jpeg file and downloaded to your phone and computer. Doing this is an easy way to update your frames throughout the year, and you are not spending money on new artwork and frames each time you want to change your décor. All you have to do is remove the print, add your new one, and reuse the frame! To purchase a new print, add the print to your cart, check out, download the file and send to your favorite printer (I typically use Snapfish). The print can either be mailed to you or can be picked up at a local Wal-Mart or CVS. This rabbit print is one of my favorites! It’s a cute, vintage, organic print that would look great on any wall, mantle, or shelf throughout the year.

Gold Hare Hook from Etsy

How cute is this hook?! This hook would be so cute in an entryway, bathroom, or even a child’s bedroom. I always feel you can never have too many hooks (hooks are so fun to style!), and why not choose a hook that is different and unique.
