Weekly Wednesday Wish List #237
sharing is caring!
Find 10 weekly picks in our Weekly Wednesday Wish List from cozy home decor and seasonal styling tips to easy recipes and simple ways to make your house feel like home.

As we step into 2026, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting on the year behind us and feeling incredibly grateful for how much Eleanor Rose Home grew in 2025.
What began as a simple place to share cozy ideas and a love for home a couple of years ago, has continued to grow in ways I never could have imagined and that growth is entirely because of you.
Whether you’ve been reading for years, joined recently, click through every email, or quietly follow along from your couch, I want you to know how much it means to me.
This space wouldn’t be what it is without the readers, followers, and subscribers who show up, share their own stories, and make this feel like more than just a blog.
You’ve turned it into a cozy community, and I don’t take that for granted for a second.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m feeling so excited about what’s coming next.
I have even more cozy content planned from simple ways to make your home feel more lived-in, to easy DIY projects, and comforting recipes.
My hope is that Eleanor Rose Home continues to be a place you come to for inspiration, encouragement, and a reminder that cozy doesn’t have to be complicated.
Thank you for being here, for supporting this little corner of the internet, and for allowing me to do what I love.
Wishing you a safe, cozy, and happy new year!

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: One of the easiest ways I know of to keep a cozy home after Christmas, is to fill favorite containers with a variety of evergreens and sprinkle them throughout the house.
2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Refresh your home for the new year by keeping only a few winter friendly pieces like candles, greenery, or textured accents on display. A simple reset after the holidays creates a calm backdrop and sets the stage for combating winter’s cabin fever that inevitably strikes.
3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that the tradition of clinking glasses started as a way to prove your drink hadn’t been tampered with? These days it’s just a cheerful way to ring in the new year and make sure everyone feels included in the toast.
4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: One of my favorite Christmas gifts was a pretty blue sweatshirt with a custom lettering. The letters are mine are NDLPT in a blue floral fabric, which reflects my love for all things needlepoint. I’m going to order a pink one for Valentine’s day with XOXO.
5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Share warmth wherever you go. Offer sincere compliments, hold a door, or greet people with a smile. These small courtesies were once common practice, and they still make a world of difference.
6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “My home feels dull after the holidays. How can I transition my decor for winter?” See #10 for the answer!
7. WEEKLY AWESOME FINDS:
- Protect your holiday wreaths all year long from dust and dirt with these clear wreath storage bags. You can easily stack these or hang them from a hook.
- I did a double take when I saw the price of this gorgeous wingback upholstered bed.
- These tea light holders are beautiful. They are an elegant way to add a little sparkle to my winter decor.
- Store all of your holiday knick knacks in these clear latch containers.
- I love how this carved beaded floor mirror adds instant character to a room.
- Cold and flu season will be here before we know it, get a stylish tissue box so you’ll feel a little fancy even if you don’t feel well.
- This is such a pretty way to house your mahjong sets if you play.
- Y’all are still loving this flush mount light and it’s gorgeous!
8. WEARABLE STYLE:
- These harper double front pants are such a classic, polished staple that works for church, supper with friends, or a cozy evening at home.
- These pearl station hoops have such a graceful, timeless look that feels right at home with everything from Sunday best to a simple sweater.
- This hydrangea short long pajama set is the sweetest blend of crisp cotton and classic charm.
- This two piece new moon lounge set is just the sweetest blend of softness and simple comfort, perfect for slow mornings or unwinding at the end of the day.
- This Italian leather phone crossbody is such a charming little piece, with classic details and just enough studding to give it personality.
- The Virginia Jacket in tapestry trellis brocade is such a timeless beauty, with that rich, traditional pattern that instantly elevates even the simplest outfit.
- The Sloane Dress in black is one of those classic pieces that always feels right, whether you’re dressing for an evening out or a simple gathering at home.
- This airy, sleek half zip sweatshirt is such a cozy staple for everyday wear.
9. HOME HACK: Wrap lights around cardboard before storing. Cut notches in the ends of a piece of sturdy cardboard and wind your Christmas lights around it. It prevents tangles, protects bulbs, and makes decorating next year much faster.
10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5): After the sparkle of Christmas comes down, keep things feeling warm by layering textures…think chunky knits, soft throws, and candles grouped on trays. Stick with a neutral palette and natural elements like pinecones, bare branches, or winter greenery. It’s the perfect way to bridge the gap until spring.

9. CULINARY CORNER: No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars: In a bowl, mix 1 cup ground almonds, 1/3 cup peanut butter, and 1/4 cup maple syrup until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into a lined loaf tin or mold, flattening evenly with the back of a spoon. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth, then stir in 2 tablespoons peanut butter. Pour the chocolate mixture over the base and spread evenly. Chill in the refrigerator until set, about 30 minutes, then slice and enjoy.
10. THE LAST WORD: January is a great time to get control of clutter in your home for good. All you need is 15 minutes a day, five days a week, and a simple plan that keeps it simple. Small, steady efforts add up quickly, helping your home feel calmer, lighter, and easier to care for as the year begins.
ANSWER TO #7: Pope Gregory XIII introduced a revised version of the Gregorian calendar in October 1582, making January 1 the first day of the year. Auld Lang Syne, sung on New Year’s Eve, comes from a Scottish dialect literally translated as “old long since”. It has taken on a more fluid definition and now carries the meaning, “old time’s sake” or “olden days.” Now you know! Happy New Year, friend! xo

9. WEEKLY MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
