In this week’s Wish List…

You’ll find a simple project that adds a little nostalgic charm to everyday kitchen linens, along with a Meyer lemon pound cake that tastes like pure sunshine.

I’m also including a cozy reminder as Easter decorations start filling the store shelves (don’t feel pressured to buy it all), and I’m linking to my free spring cleaning checklist to help you reset your home in a manageable way, complete with my favorite go-to cleaning products.

A little creativity, a little baking, and a little intentional refresh…that’s the vibe this week!

1. LETTERS FROM A HOMEBODY ON SUBSTACK: I started something new last week…Letters From a Homebody over on Substack. It’s a more personal space where I’m writing cozy reflections about home, nostalgia, and what it really means to be a homebody. I’d love for you to join me there!

2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: Easter decorations are popping up everywhere. Before you toss all the bunnies in your cart, pause and choose only what you truly love, and what you’ll happily use year after year, not just for one season.

3. AMAZON FINDS: Shop cozy finds I’m loving on Amazon.

4. LITTLE THINGS I’M LOVING:

  • A quilt with a gingham and floral print…yes please!!! This would be beautiful draped on the back of a couch or on a chair for spring.
  • Beautiful mixing bowls. Pretty and functional (my favorite kind of decor btw).
  • The wreath currently hanging on our front door.
  • These cafe curtains with an embroidered edge are so dang charming!!!

5. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: If you’re craving a taste of spring, my Meyer lemon pound cake is pure sunshine in dessert form.

6. UPDATING MY WARDROBE:

  • I cannot wait to wear this coastal sweater when the weather warms up.
  • Give anything with gingham including this skirt.
  • Dress up your outfit or handbag with a beautiful scarf.
  • I cannot believe this cardigan sweater is $12…what?!

7. MAKE THIS WITH ME: Personalize your kitchen with DIY stenciled tea towels. All you need are plain cotton tea towels, a stencil, acrylic paint, and a stencil brush. Secure the stencil, lightly dab the paint on, peel back, and let dry.

8. OVER ON THE ‘GRAM: I’ve been looking for affordable (and pretty) chair pads for our kitchen counter stools for forever and finally found the perfect ones!

9. WEEKLY MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

“One should never be the oldest thing in one’s house.”

Patsy Stone

10. SPRING CLEANING CHECKLIST: Grab my free spring cleaning checklist along with my favorite go-to cleaning products.

Suzy | Worthing Court

Weekly Wednesday Wish List #244 Worthing court stove and microwave in the ktichen.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: Once upon a time, Fitz and Floyd was a hot item in the world of home decor. It may no longer be a hot item, but I still love the pieces that I have and am thrilled any time that I have a chance to display them. I’m constantly perusing Etsy looking for more to add to my collection.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Refresh your home by changing out hardware on one small area such as a bathroom vanity or piece of furniture. New knobs or pulls are an easy update that adds polish and personality.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know February is one of the best months to assess furniture placement? With windows uncovered and less seasonal décor around, it’s easier to see what feels off balance in a room.

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: I love keeping my tea bags and coffee pods in a canister near my coffee pot. I have been on the hunt for blue and white ones, that had an opening large enough for my hand to go through forever and immediately ordered three of these when I found them!

From decor, gadgets, organizing, and needlepoint – check out all my favorite Amazon purchases HERE.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Mend something instead of replacing it. Sew on a button, tighten a loose screw, glue a broken piece. Repairing what we already have reminds us to value care over convenience.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “How can I make open spaces feel warm during the winter months?” See #10 for the answer!

7. WEEKLY AWESOME FINDS:

  • There’s nothing quite like soft, well-made bath towels, and these striped ones feel like a small everyday luxury.
  • A classic gallery frame is one of those decorating staples that never feels dated. This set has a clean, well-made look that lets your photos and artwork shine while still feeling collected and intentional.
  • An arched floor mirror is such a lovely way to add light and softness to a room.
  • wicker coffee table like this brings in such an easy, relaxed layer of texture.
  • One of those serving pieces that instantly makes entertaining feel more special. This set of cluster bowls has a classic Southern charm that works just as beautifully for casual gatherings as it does for holidays and family celebrations.
  • There’s something charming and old-fashioned about stone bunny accents that feels just right for spring. These sculpted pieces add a soft, collected touch to Easter decorating and look lovely styled on a mantel, tabletop, or bookshelf year after year.
  • There’s something about amber glass candleholders that instantly makes a space feel warmer and more inviting.
  • marble tray like this is such a simple way to bring order and beauty to a countertop or coffee table.

8. WEARABLE STYLE:

  • These suede penny loafers are a classic wardrobe staple that never lets you down.
  • swim dress like this is such a nice option when you want to feel comfortable and confident by the water.
  • There’s something so effortlessly polished about this mock-neck midi dress.
  • There’s something so charming about a cardigan with a little extra detail. The floral jacquard pattern gives this one a polished, pulled-together look that works beautifully for everyday wear or casual gatherings.

9. HOME HACK: Store cleaning wipes upside down Flip the container over once it’s opened. Gravity keeps the wipes moist so you don’t end up with dry ones halfway through the pack.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5):  Anchor the room with a rug and bring in wood or woven textures. Floor lamps and table lamps also help break up large spaces and add a cozy glow that overhead lighting can’t match.
