the heart and hands behind Eleanor Rose Home.
I believe in creating a home you love. I’m a homebody at heart who finds joy in the little things. I’m a New England based blogger, home stylist, seasonal enthusiast, and storyteller. I love decorating our home, simmer pots in the fall, spending time with my family, and our sweet pup Eleanor (but not necessarily in that order).
I started this blog in the fall of 2020. Like so many others, I had spent months working from home during the early days of the pandemic. And while that time brought its own challenges, there was also something unexpectedly comforting about being home. I loved being surrounded by familiar things, moving at a slower pace, and finding joy in simple things like baking bread or rearranging the living room furniture just because.
When I returned to the office later that year, I found myself struggling and deeply unhappy. I missed being home, the creativity I had rediscovered, and the sense of purpose that came from making our space feel warm and safe in a chaotic world. So on a whim, I created a website. I didn’t have a clear plan or a perfect vision, I just knew I needed a place to pour my creativity.
That website became Eleanor Rose Home, which I named after our dachshund rescue, Eleanor Roosevelt.
creating A Home that feels like you
Eleanor Rose Home isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding beauty in the everyday, making the most of what you already have, and creating a home that feels like you. It’s a trial and error kind of place. A “use what you’ve got and make it beautiful” kind of place. Because creating a cozy home isn’t about getting it all right, it’s about making it yours.
I change my mind (a lot). I tweak things. I let one project lead to another and sometimes get completely sidetracked by a new idea. I mood board, rework, and ask myself, “Does this feel like home?” I decorate slowly. Intentionally. I mix DIY with “hire it out” when needed, and I firmly believe in working with what you already have to create something beautiful.
I’m not waiting for the dream house, the perfect budget, or the right season. I believe in loving where we live right now and helping our homes (and ourselves) grow into their full potential, one cozy moment at a time.
Most days, you’ll find me sipping my morning iced tea, styling a corner of the house, or brainstorming the next simple DIY to share. I’m so grateful to do what I love and even more grateful that I get to share it with you. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, encouragement, or just a dose of cozy…you’re always welcome here.

September 2020
Started the Blog
What began as a creative outlet during a challenging time in my life quickly turned into a passion project centered on home, comfort, and everyday beauty.
may 2021
Joined Instagram
I launched Eleanor Rose Home on Instagram and other social media channels and began sharing cozy corners of our home, seasonal decor, and simple DIYs. Never in a million years did I expect the warm and growing community that would follow.
march 2023
Made the Leap to Full Time
After years of balancing the blog with my role as an Operations Coordinator for a landscape company, I took a leap of faith and made Eleanor Rose Home my full-time job. I haven’t looked back since!
