Wrapping up a week of cozy inspiration on this frigid Northeast day with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is the ultimate cozy drink, right?! I found these adorable heart hot cocoa melts at Trader Joe’s and scooped them right up! These little melts make it easy to have a quick cup of cocoa on a cold day and are so festive for Valentine’s Day along with a heart mug & a heart shaped marshmallow.🤍Happy weekend friends, I hope I’ve inspired you all week long with simple ideas on how to stay cozy! Cozy bedroom! I talked about what makes a bedroom cozy for me last night and mentioned lavender linen spray. I made my own lavender linen spray last weekend, and let me tell you…it’s good! Not only is the smell of this spray intoxicating but lavender has many natural health benefits including inducing sleep, reducing anxiety, lowering heart rates, and so much more which makes it perfect for spritzing on bed linens and throughout your home. Making your own spray is extremely easy with high quality ingredients and costs a fraction of the amount you would pay for a bottle online or at the store. The recipe for the spray is on the blog (link in stories) along with a tutorial on how I made ours! Idea #3 as we continue cozy inspiration this week to fight the winter blues is to create a calming, peaceful space for sleep. The older I get the more essential it is for me to get a restful night’s sleep. After a good night’s sleep, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead of me (which makes fighting the winter blues easier). I’ve found a few things that have helped me to fall asleep faster and sleep through the night more soundly. Cozy blankets, flannel sheets, and a cool bedroom is a must! I love curling under the covers when the room has a chill in it…Eleanor loves that too! There is something so comforting about wrapping yourself up in warm, cozy bedding. Next, surround yourself with things you love and make you happy. This will create a space that feels safe to you, which in turn will make it easier to fall asleep. And finally, lavender linen spray. I’ll be sharing more on this tomorrow here and on the blog, but it’s something I made recently and am now obsessed with! It’s added a calming freshness to our bedroom and I can’t wait to share the details on how you can make your own. Stay tuned! Ok, so tell me…what does a cozy, restful bedroom look like to you? Idea #2 this week on how to stay cozy and keep your spirits up during the winter months is a comfy outfit! As much as I love staying in jammies all day, I’ve found that putting on a cute outfit, doing my hair, and a little makeup can lift my spirits and get me motivated for the day. I am currently obsessed with this outfit from @summersalt that includes a french terry top and jogger bottoms. You guys know that I love to be comfortable and finding an outfit that I can not only lounge around the house in but also look presentable when wearing it out is my kind jam!!! This outfit is beyond soft (wish you guys could feel it), fits perfectly, trendy but still classic, and looks adorable with a pair of cute sneakers, jean jacket, & fanny pack. I can buy myself flowers! Ya’ll are probably sick of this audio but it’s been stuck in my head for at least a week, and I bought some flowers so I had to use it! A fun little Valentine DIY! This Valentine wreath has stolen my heart. It’s an excellent example that imperfection is perfection. The heart shape is not symmetrical, the flowers are sparse, and the ribbon is tied off to the side. This imperfect wreath is simple & organic, just the kind of decor I love to fill our home with. All the details on how I created this wreath is over on the blog, link in stories and my profile!🤍
