Absolutely! That’s what makes this DIY so quick and budget-friendly. A neutral floral or greenery wreath works best, but you can use whatever you have on hand.

Where can I find American flags?

Most craft stores, dollar stores, big box retailers (Target or Walmart), and Amazon carry small flags on sticks during the summer months especially leading up to Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Will the flags stay in place without glue?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if tucked in securely and tied tightly with ribbon, the flags should easily stay in place. For extra hold, you can definitely use flower wire or hot glue.

What kind of ribbon works best?

You can use any ribbon you like. I used grosgrain ribbon because I felt like it added to that vintage style, however feel free to choose whatever fits your style!

Can I reuse the wreath after July 4th?

Accepted Answer

Yes, which is why I love this DIY project so much. Just untie and remove the flags and patriotic ribbons, and your base wreath is ready to be styled for late summer.
