Yield: 2 Bottles
- 2 bottles Plastic Spray Bottles Clear
- 3 tbsp. Dried Lavender
- 10 drops 100% Pure Organic Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 tbsp. Vodka or Clear Alcohol
- 2 1/2 cups Water
- 1 Wire Strainer
- 1 Mixing Bowl with Lip
Heat 1 cup of water to a simmer and add 3 tablespoons dried lavender.
Let the dried lavender steep in water for 5 minutes (essentially making a lavender tea).
In a bowl with a lip for pouring, add vodka & lavender essential oil. Mix together.
Boil 1 1/2 cups of water, then add that to the vodka, essential oil mixture.
Place the wire strainer over the bowl with water, vodka, & oil and pour the lavender tea into the bowl.
Allow to cool before pouring into plastic spray bottles.
- Have fresh lavender in your garden? Use that! Hang the lavender to dry for about a week before making "the tea".
- Make sure to purchase lavender essential oil that says pure or all-natural.
- Use cheese cloth or a paper towel to strain the "lavender tea" into the vodka mixture to remove any small or fine particles. I liked the look of the fine pieces of lavender in our spray so I did not filter it.
- No lipped bowl? Simply use a funnel to transfer the linen spray from a bowl to the spray bottle.
