In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, essential oil, and water. Mix together to form a paste.
Place the silicone mold on a baking sheet.
With a spatula or spoon, add the paste to the silicone molds. Press the mixture tightly into each mold to remove any air bubbles, and smooth the tops with fingers.
Place the pan with the mold into the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow tablets to cool completely before removing from molds (1-2 hours).
Store in an airtight container out of direct sunlight.
Notes
When making the shower melt paste, do not add too much water. The paste should resemble damp sand, and should be able to squeeze the paste and it holds it's shape.
Try other essential oils in this shower melt recipe. Vanilla, orange, lemon, juniper berry, or eucalyptus all have wonderful scents and are great for aromatherapy.
Be sure the shower melts are fully cooled before storing or using them.
Store the shower melts in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. I like to store mine in glass canning jars.
Use shower melts within 1 month for best results. They will last longer, but the essential oil scent will not be as strong.
Play around with different silicone molds. Have fun with different shapes and sizes!
Keep the shower melt out of the direct stream of water in the shower otherwise they will dissolve too quickly.
