4th of July Party Favors
Whether you’re hosting or attending an Independence Day celebration this summer; these fun, easy-to-make, and budget friendly 4th of July party favors will be the hit of any patriotic party.

The 4th of July holiday is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a time we not only celebrate the birth of the United States with patriotism & unity, but its a time when friends & family come together to enjoy simple pleasures like good food, good company, and exciting activities.
It’s a day filled with laughter, fun times, and conversations that create cherished memories. I still fondly remember attending 4th of July parades as a child (trying to catch as much candy as possible), heading to the town common with friends for the annual carnival full of rides & games, and watching fireworks at the high school 4th of July night. These are memories I won’t soon forget.

This year, to make 4th of July even more memorable, I have a fun craft for your patriotic celebrations that friends and family will love.
These easy-to-make & budget friendly DIY party favors are made from scrapbook paper rolled into cones, and filled with delightful patriotic goodies found at your local dollar or craft store.
4th of July party favors are guaranteed to add a little extra fun and patriotism to your Independence Day festivities. So, gather your materials, unleash your creativity, and let the crafting begin. Your guests are in for a patriotic treat!

Assembling 4th of July Party Favors
Now for the fun part, assembling the party favors!
Creating the Paper Cones for the Favors
To create the paper cones that hold the patriotic goodies, you are going to cut 1 piece of scrapbook paper in half, diagonally to create 2 equally sized triangles.

To create 2 triangles of the same size, place a ruler on the top left corner of the paper & on the bottom right corner of the paper, then trace a line down the paper with a pencil.
With sharp scissors, cut along the diagonal line so that you now have 2 triangles.

Roll each triangle into a cone, securing the seam with small pieces of Scotch tape on the outside of the cone as well as the inside. Make sure the pointy end of the cone is securely sealed so that the contents of the cone don’t easily fall out the bottom.
Pro Tip: You could use double sided Scotch tape for this craft, which the tape would not be visible from the outside or inside of the cone. I did not have any, so I just used regular tape.

Trim the access paper at the top of the cone, by just following the shape of the cone and cutting with your scissors.
At this point, your cones are created for your 4th of July party favors. However, if you want to add a little additional detail to your paper cones, you can add ribbon.
To do this, punch holes along the opening of the cone, and weave the ribbon through each hole. Tie a bow on the front of the cone with the ends of the ribbon.

Adding Patriotic Goodies to the Cones
With the cones created, you can begin adding your fun patriotic goodies to your party favors.
Add a small handful of the white crinkled paper to the bottom of each cone. Then begin adding your biggest items to the cones first, and your smallest items last.

For our party favors, I filled the paper cones with party poppers, sunglasses, glow sticks, candy, patriotic pin back buttons, and beaded necklaces.
Finally, fill in the party favors with a little additional white crinkled paper and that’s all! Your patriotic party favors are made within minutes & are ready to be given to your party guests.

I placed our 4th of July favors in this bamboo ice cream holder. It’s such a cute way to display them, and holds them upright for guests to easily grab and go!
