If you’ve noticed a red, white, and blue theme around here lately, you’re not imagining things.

With the Fourth of July just a couple of weeks away, I’ve fully embraced cozy Americana season and it seems to be influencing just about everything I’m clicking on, buying, making, and decorating with lately.

I’m still not quite sure what I’m going to do with myself once the 4th is over!

This week’s wish list is filled with patriotic inspiration, beautiful finds for your home, a few summer wardrobe pieces I’ve personally purchased and loved, and a recipe that has quickly become one of my favorite summer treats.

I’m also sharing a simple DIY you can make in less than 10 minutes, a new-to-me YouTube channel I’ve been enjoying, and a decorating source I tracked down after falling in love with the look.

Heidi | Eleanor Rose Home

Weekly Wednesday Wish List #261 Eleanor Rose Home living room.

1. RED, WHITE, & BLUE: The countdown to the 4th of July is officially on and the blog has everything you need to get your home ready. Head here for 10+ simple decorating ideas that feel collected and charming.

2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: Instead of reaching for sugary drinks, fill a pitcher with cucumber, lemon, and fresh mint and keep it in the refrigerator. It feels a little fancy, tastes refreshing, and makes staying hydrated during the summer months a little easier.

3. AMAZON FINDS: Shop cozy finds I’m loving on Amazon.

4. LITTLE THINGS I’M LOVING:

5. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: I was skeptical, but this strawberry cottage cheese ice cream is absolutely delicious. It’s creamy, naturally sweetened with honey, made with just 4 ingredients, and you don’t need an ice cream maker. You NEED to try it!

6. UPDATING MY WARDROBE:

  • Saw this crocheted sweater tank, loved it, bought it.
  • I have one word for this rick-rack tank top and matching shorts…ADORABLE.
  • The most comfortable jeans for summer ever. HAVE and LOVE.
  • If you have a long torso like me, J.Crew swimsuits are some of my fav. I love this one with the matching coverup.

7. MAKE THIS WITH ME: All you need is a woven rattan bag, faux hydrangeas, a small American flag, and some white ribbon to make this gorgeous patriotic door basket in less than 10 minutes.

8. OVER ON THE ‘GRAM: I love McGee & Co. framed art, but the price tag is usually ridiculous, so I found the source.

9. WEEKLY MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

“I think that when you invite people to your home, you invite them to yourself.”

Oprah Winfrey

10. NEW TO ME ON YOUTUBE: I recently stumbled upon the YouTube channel She Holds Dearly after Sarah shared a few 4th of July-inspired photos of our home. Her cozy, thoughtful decorating style is right up my alley, and I’ve been enjoying binge watching her videos ever since.

Suzy | Worthing Court

Weekly Wednesday Wish List #261 Worthing Court plate wall.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: This summer, it’s all about blue, white and lemons! I’ve really been enjoying the “moment” that citrus have been having lately.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Update your walls by regrouping artwork instead of adding new pieces. Moving art from one room to another can make familiar spaces feel new while keeping your home personal and thoughtfully layered.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know freezing lemon slices, mint, or berries in ice cubes is an easy way to make everyday water feel a little more special during the summer months?

4. FAVORITE PURCHASE: I adore these melamine outdoor dishes! The colors are perfection and you just can’t beat $20 for a service for four.

Find all of my purchased and loved decorating, gadget, and organizing favorites HERE .

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Spend a few minutes outside in the early morning before the heat of the day settles in. A quiet porch, a cup of coffee, and the sound of birdsong can do wonders for a hurried heart.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “How can I make my bedroom feel more like a retreat?” See #10 for the answer!

7. WEEKLY AWESOME FINDS:

8. WEARABLE STYLE:

9. HOME HACK: Use a lazy Susan under the kitchen sink. Cleaning supplies become instantly easier to access, and you’ll stop buying duplicates because everything stays visible.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5):  Keep it calm and uncluttered. Soft bedding, layered lighting, and a few meaningful pieces help create a space that feels restful and inviting.

7. FUN AND INTERESTING FACTS: What bird, a symbol of our country, mates for life? What organ in your body is the only one that can totally regenerate?

8. CURATED CLOSET:

9. CULINARY CORNER: Summer Spaghetti Pasta: Cook 1 lb spaghetti just shy of al dente. Drain, rinse cold, and cool. In a large bowl, mix 2 diced seeded cucumbers, 1 pint of quartered cherry tomatoes, 1 drained 12-oz can of halved black olives, 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion, and 2 Tbsp minced parsley. Add spaghetti, salt, pepper, and 1 cup zesty Italian dressing. Toss. Add more dressing to taste. Cover and chill 4 hours. Top with 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan and more parsley before serving.

10. THE LAST WORD: Coordinating paint colors can be tricky. I found a wonderful website featuring paint color palettes to help you plan your home’s wall colors. It’s full of inspiration and makes choosing coordinating colors so much easier. What a helpful idea!

ANSWER TO #7: A bald eagle mates for life. The liver is the only organ in your body that totally regenerates. Now you know.
