How is it possible that Thanksgiving is next week?!

Every year it feels like fall has just begun, and then suddenly, we’re counting down the days to turkey and pumpkin pie.

Maybe it’s because the weeks between Halloween and Thanksgiving seem to move at double speed.

One minute I’m lighting my favorite fall candles and the next, Mr. ERH is pulling the Christmas tree out of the attic.

This time of year always sneaks up on me no matter how prepared I think I am.

There’s something about November with the shorter days, the to-do lists that grow longer seemingly overnight, and Christmas knocking on the door that makes me want to slow down and soak it all in.

Even though it can feel a little overwhelming, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about gratitude, comfort, and togetherness.

There are no gifts to wrap, just delicious food, familiar faces, and the kind of cozy chaos that we all look forward to this time of year.

So as we head into the week ahead, I’m reminding myself that the magic of Thanksgiving doesn’t come from the perfect tablescape or menu.

It comes from the laughter, the stories, and family togetherness.

If you’re feeling behind or a little stressed this week, take a deep breath.

You are most definitely not alone.

Weekly Wednesday Wish List #231 Worthing Court bathroom.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: This week’s favorite styling moment is brought to you by my newly remodeled primary bathroom. It’s tiny, but it’s mighty and is chock full of ideas to make living with a small bathroom easier. I’ll have a blog post soon!

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Style your tree like a designer by decorating in layers. Add lights first, then ribbon, then ornaments in varying sizes and finishes.

Why this works:
Working in layers gives your tree depth and balance. It prevents ornaments from looking flat and lets your decorations shine beautifully from every angle.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that cranberries bounce when they’re fresh? Farmers used to sort them by dropping them down stairs. The ones that bounced were good, and the soft ones were tossed!

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: I’m not a fan of having an open trash can in a bathroom. It’s kind of an ew moment for me, so I swapped mine for this touchless version. The motion sensor automatically raises and closes the lid. It keeps everything contained, and I don’t have to see anything sitting out in the open anymore.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Before your feet touch the floor each morning, give a quiet “thank you” for the day ahead. Gratitude doesn’t have to wait for Thanksgiving, it can carry you through every single day.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “How can I make my holiday table feel festive without spending a fortune?” See #10 for the answer!

7. WEEKLY AWESOME FINDS:

  • Always run out of space in the sink when entertaining? Pick up this collapsible dish basin and have more room to let those dishes soak while you spend time with your guests.
  • I’ve never seen an arched mirror medicine cabinet, but I really like it.
  • This is the sweetest set of stoneware bowls. It comes with a tray, ramekins and lids… perfect for a trio of dips.

8. WEARABLE STYLE:

  • Need something pretty for a family gathering or Christmas party? This cardigan would work for any holiday occasion.
  • If you are still looking for something to wear for Thanksgiving, this maxi dress would be perfect!
  • Stay comfy in this flannel that comes in Christmasy colors. Love it!
  • I love velvet jeans and these come in the dreamiest shades.
  • Do you wear long skirts? I think this skirt is so elegant. I might need to get it!
  • This is such a great neutral tennis shoe for those times when you want to be cute, but casual.
  • If you are hot natured, these cooling pajamas are so pretty.
  • These are the most gorgeous set of pearl drop earrings and they are on sale now!

9. HOME HACK: Here’s a great little tip for getting ahead before big holiday meals so I can enjoy my guests instead of being stuck in the kitchen. Two days before the meal, chop all your vegetables and store them in clear labeled containers. On the day-of, you’ll only need to cook them as you desire. It’s simple, but it makes a big difference.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5): Start with what you already have. Layer a simple runner or plaid scarf, mix in greenery from your yard, and use candles or ornaments as accents. Add cloth napkins tied with ribbon or twine for an instant touch of charm.
