35+ Free Fall Vintage Art Prints for Cozy Autumn Decorating
A collection of free fall vintage art prints you can download, print, and frame for cozy decorating in your home this autumn.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been pondering what kind of printable art I’d like to share with you this fall.
Last August, I created a collection of fall printables, and while I still love them, I felt like I wanted to do something slightly different this year.
Now, I’ve always been obsessed with vintage artwork.
This is not anything new.
There’s something utterly charming about old landscapes, harvest scenes, and still-life paintings.
They have a warmth and timelessness that makes any home feel cozy without looking overly seasonal.
That’s when the idea hit me…
Instead of designing another collection from scratch, why not curate some of the most beautiful free fall vintage art prints available online?
After spending more hours than I’d like to admit searching through museum collections, libraries, and public archives, I’ve rounded up over thirty of my favorite fall prints.
The best part is that they’re completely free to download, print, and enjoy in your own home.

Keywords to Use When Searching for Fall Vintage Artwork

When you’re looking for fall artwork, don’t limit your search to the word “fall”.
Most pieces of vintage art were created long before anyone was thinking about search engines or keywords so they’re usually categorized by their subject rather than the season.
If you only search for fall, you’re going to miss A LOT of hidden gems.
Try searching for words like:
- Autumn
- Harvest
- Apple
- Pear
- Pumpkin
- Oak
- Acorn
- Woodland
- Forest
- Landscape
- Botanical
- Still Life
- Wheat
- Chrysanthemums
- Countryside
- Orchard
- Golden Fields
- October
You can also search by specific subjects that remind you of fall like baskets of apples, rolling countryside landscapes, antique florals, or vintage botanical prints.
Once you find a piece of art you love, click download and save the image to your computer, tablet, or phone.

How to Download, Resize, and Print Free Art

Once you’ve found a piece you love, download the highest resolution version available to your digital device.
A higher-quality file will give you the sharpest print, especially if you want to print a larger size.
Resizing Prints
The easiest way to resize digital artwork is with Canva.
It’s free to use (you don’t need the paid version), takes just a few minutes, and makes it simple to create artwork that fits the frame you already own.
How to do it:
- Create a new design in Canva using the dimensions of your frame. For example, if you’re printing an 8″ × 10″ print, create an 8″ × 10″ design.
- Upload your vintage art by clicking “Uploads” in the left-hand menu and selecting the image you downloaded.
- Drag the artwork onto your canvas. Canva will automatically place it on your page.
- Resize and reposition the image by dragging the corners to make it larger or smaller. If the artwork doesn’t perfectly match the proportions of your frame, double-click the image to adjust the crop until you’re happy with how it looks.
- Download your finished print as a high-quality PDF or PNG file before sending it to your printer or print shop.

Printing Your Vintage Artwork
Once you’ve resized your artwork, it’s time to print so you can display it in your home.
A home printer can give you good results when you’re printing smaller sizes like 5″ × 7″ or 8″ × 10″ prints.
Just be sure to use heavyweight matte paper or cardstock instead of regular copy paper.
The thicker paper gives vintage artwork a richer, more authentic look with less glare.
For larger prints, I recommend using a local print shop or an online printing service.
They have professional printers that produce sharper details, richer colors, and smoother gradients than most home printers.
Helpful Tips
- Choose matte paper for a classic, vintage look.
- Print at the highest quality setting available on your printer.
- Use heavyweight paper or card stock for a more premium feel.
- Double check your print preview before printing to make sure nothing is cropped.
- Allow fresh prints to dry completely before placing them in a frame to avoid smudges.
