Top Spring Home Decor Trends You’ll Love for 2025
Find the top spring home decor trends for 2025. Refresh your home with florals, scalloped edges, soft pastels, and more for a cozy & stylish seasonal update.

As a lover of home decor, one of the best ways I’ve found to fight that mid-winter slump is to look ahead to spring, and to be more specific, spring decor.
I love browsing the new spring collections from my favorite home decor brands and designers (Hearth & Hand and Studio McGee I’m looking at you!), gathering inspiration on what’s trending for the upcoming season, and envisioning how I might be able to incorporate some of those elements into our own home.
And can I just tell you…spring decorations this year are not disappointing!
Especially for those of us that appreciate a cozy, collected aesthetic.
They are a perfect blend of vintage charm with fresh, modern touches. Think soft pastels, organic textures, and whimsical details that bring personality and warmth to just about any room.
This upcoming spring season is all about creating a home that feels inviting, with pieces that look like they’ve been curated over time.
So, if you’re as excited as I am to leave winter behind and breathe new life into your home, let’s take a look at a few of the top 2025 spring decor trends and how you can easily incorporate them into your space.
What is a home decor trend?
A trend or more specifically a home decor trend, refers to a popular style, design, or aesthetic in interior decorating that gains widespread attention and adoption within a specific period of time.
These trends often reflect cultural shifts, technological advancements, and changes in how we live our lives.
Home decor trends can influence various aspects of interior design including color schemes, furniture styles, materials, patterns, and accessories.
Trends can be short lived fads or long lasting movements that shape the way people decorate and personalize their living spaces.
What is the best way to incorporate trends into my existing decor?
Since this blog post is all about “trending” home decor, I think it’s important to point out that you don’t need to completely overhaul your home to stay on trend.
While trends can offer fresh inspiration and new ideas, it’s important to remember that your home should ultimately reflect your personal taste and style.
Here are some tips on how to incorporate trends into your existing decor while also staying true to you:
- Start With What You Love: The foundation of any beautifully decorated home is a collection of pieces that you genuinely love. Your existing decor should highlight your personal style and the pieces that make you happy. When considering new trends, think about how they can complement and enhance the elements you already love.
- Add Trendy Accents: One of the easiest ways to incorporate trends is through small, versatile accents like throw pillows, blankets, or decorative objects that can easily be switched out.
- Mix & Match Styles: Don’t be afraid to mix different trends and styles. The key is to strike a balance between them that feels cohesive and true to your taste.
- Focus on Key Areas: If you’re hesitant to commit to a trend, try adding it in specific areas of your home. Focus on spaces that can easily be updated such as your entryway, living room, or dining room. This way, you can experiment without feeling like you need to overhaul your entire home.
Three Don’ts When it Comes to Home Decor Trends
It can be exciting to embrace new trends in home decor, but it’s essential to do so thoughtfully to maintain a balanced living space.
Try and avoid these common decorating mistakes…
Don’t Forget to Invest in Classic Pieces
Trends can add freshness to your decor but it’s important not to overlook classic pieces.
These timeless items form the foundation of your home’s style.
Instead of replacing them with every passing fad, use trends to complement and accentuate these classic pieces.
By decorating this way, you make sure that your home maintains a sense of timelessness and avoids becoming overly trendy.
Examples of Classic Pieces You Should Invest In
- Quality Sofa or Couch
- Solid Wood Kitchen Table or Dining Table
- Light Fixtures
- Well-Built Dressers, Bookcases, Coffee Tables, Side or End Tables
- Statement Mirrors or Artwork
- Comfortable Mattress
- Classic Rugs
- Traditional Kitchenware

Don’t Decorate Using a Theme
Themed decor can be appealing for it’s ability to create a cohesive aesthetic in specific areas of your home.
However, themed decorations are extremely limiting.
When you commit to a theme, you end up creating a space that feels uniform and lacks the personal touches that make a home unique.
Instead, aim for a design that allows you to easily mix different elements, textures, and colors.
P.S. If you love decorating with a theme, don’t let me stop you. Do you, and don’t worry about what I think!
Don’t Neglect Your Personal Style
This might be the most important point to remember, don’t let trends overshadow your personal style and individuality.
Your home should reflect your unique taste and interests.
Incorporate trends in a way that feels authentic to you, regardless of what the experts or designers might be telling you to do.
By infusing your personality into your decor choices, you create a home that is meaningful, cozy, and inviting.
2025 Spring Decorating Trends
Now that we’ve got the do’s and don’ts of decorating with trends out of the way, lets take a look at what’s trending this spring.
Remember, you don’t need to incorporate all of these ideas into your decor.
Simply use these elements in ways that complement the decor already have and your personal style.

Floral Prints Are Huge

This trend is the one I’m most excited about!
There’s just something about a beautiful floral print that instantly brightens a space and makes it feel fresh and inviting.
And in 2025, they’re making an even bigger statement, blending vintage charm with a modern touch.
I’m noticing oversized botanicals, delicate hand painted florals, and vintage inspired chintz patterns making their way into home decor once again, but with a fresh twist that feels timeless and current.
Imagine the classic 1980’s floral designs from Laura Ashley and Ralph Lauren being reimagined for today’s spaces.
This season’s florals are bolder, more dramatic, and yet still maintain that cozy, collected vibe we love.
Whether you choose floral prints for throw pillows, curtains, bedding, or wallpaper; they’re a wonderful way to infuse your home with a burst of life.
Here’s the wonderful thing about this trend…it offers something for every style.
If you prefer a more subtle look, you can incorporate smaller floral details, like flower artwork or a floral printed vase filled with fresh blooms.
For those like me that are feeling more adventurous, oversized floral patterns are a great way to bring that vintage eighties vibe to your home.

How to Incorporate Florals
- Throw Pillows: A mix of large and small floral patterns will add texture and color to your sofa or bed.
- Bedding: A floral duvet or sheet set is an easy way to bring a fresh, springtime feel to your bedroom.
- Wallpaper: You can make a bold statement with floral wallpaper as an accent wall (check out the floral wallpaper in our bedroom) or in small spaces like powder rooms or entryways.
- Artwork: Hang framed floral art on your walls or lean them on a shelf.
- Curtains: We recently hung these floral curtains in our living room and I could not love the print more!
- Area Rugs: A floral patterned rug can tie a room together and bring a softness to your floors.

pro tip
- Mix different types of floral patterns to create depth and interest, but balance them with solid colors or neutral tones to avoid overwhelming the space. For example, you could pair a bold floral pillow with a solid colored throw or use a delicate floral rug in a room with plain walls and furniture. This helps the florals stand out without clashing.
Pastel Colors: Peach & Blue are Stealing the Show

If you’re a fan of pastels for spring, then you’re going to love this trend!
This spring, peaches and soft blues are the stars of the pastel palette.
I do have to admit that I wasn’t crazy when I first saw that peach was a color trending for spring, however it has definitely grown on me.
It’s soft, inviting, and adds just the right amount of brightness to make a room feel fresh and inviting.
On the flip side, blue is serene and calming, that gives feelings of peace and relaxation.
It’s a color that works great in any room, from the living room to the bathroom, and can be easily integrated through wall art or decor accents.
Together, peach and blue create balance that’s both modern and comforting.

How to Incorporate Peach & Blue
- Throw Pillows & Blankets: You can pair peach pillows with a cozy blue throw on your couch or bed.
- Ceramic Vases & Planters: Mix pastel colored ceramic vases or planters for a charming, garden inspired look.
- Tableware: Incorporate these colors into your dining room or kitchen by mixing and matching plates, glassware, and table linens.

pro Tip
- If you’re unsure about committing to a peach and/or blue color scheme, start small by adding one or two accents like throw pillows, lampshades, or decorative bowls. This allows you to experiment with the colors and see how they feel in your space before making a big commitment.
Scalloped Edge Details

I hope scalloped edges are here to stay.
It’s a design trend from last year that is still big in 2025, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it!
Scalloped edges are such an easy way to bring whimsical, romantic, and sophisticated charm to your decor whether with a decorative pillow, a mirror, or a piece of furniture with wavy accents.
What I love most about this trend is its versatility.
You can add it in small doses, like with scalloped dinnerware or lampshades, or go all in with larger furniture pieces.
Either way, it brings a delightful, layered look that feels timeless and fresh.

How to Incorporate Scalloped Edges
- Scalloped Lampshades: A lampshade with scalloped edges will add softness and elegance to your lighting.
- Throw Pillows: Decorative pillows with scalloped edges add whimsy to your couch or bed.
- Table Linens: Scalloped-edge napkins, tablecloths, table runners, or placemats will give a playful yet refined look at your dining room table.
- Mirrors: A mirror with a scalloped frame gives movement and character to your walls.
- Storage Baskets: Woven baskets with scalloped edges will add style to your storage spaces.

pro Tip
- Balance scalloped edges with clean lines and classic shapes to keep the look sophisticated rather than overly whimsical.
Natural Elements to Bring the Outdoors In

One of the easiest ways to refresh your home for spring is by incorporating natural elements that bring the beauty of the outdoors inside.
This trend is stronger than ever, with a focus on organic textures, earthy materials, and a connection to nature.
Rattan, wicker, marble, and wood continue to be key materials, showing up in everything from furniture and lighting to smaller accents like baskets and trays.
These elements add texture and depth creating a cozy and lived-in feel.
Another easy way to embrace this trend is by incorporating greenery like potted plants or flowers.
Houseplants like olive trees, ferns, and ivy can bring life to a corner, while a woven planter can enhance their organic appeal.
Swap out synthetic or overly polished decor for raw, unfinished wood, stone, or ceramic pieces.
Wooden cutting boards can be displayed in the kitchen, clay vases on open shelving, or linen table runners add softness and movement.

How to Incorporate Natural Elements
- Woven Baskets: Use rattan baskets for storage.
- Houseplants & Greenery: Add life to your space with potted plants, fresh flowers, or even faux greenery.
- Wooden Accents: Display raw or reclaimed wood pieces like cutting boards, picture frames, or furniture.
- Linen & Cotton Textiles: Swap out synthetic fabrics for linen or cotton curtains, table runners, and pillow covers.
- Stone & Clay Decor: Incorporate ceramic vases, stone candle holders, or terracotta pots.
- Jute or Sisal Rugs: Lay down a natural fiber rug to add warmth and texture.

pro Tip
- Mix natural elements with different textures and finishes. You can pair a smooth ceramic vase with a rough wooden tray or a soft linen throw with a woven rattan chair. This contrast adds depth and keeps the space from feeling one dimensional.
Bold Stripes Create a Statement

This is the one trend that I want to incorporate into our home, I just haven’t decided exactly how quite yet!
Stripes have a way of adding character, whether through a classic navy and white combo or a more unexpected color pairing like sage green and cream.
This year, bold stripes are being used in fresh and exciting ways like on upholstery, wallpaper, or even striped rugs.
They add a playful sophistication, breaking up solid colors and creating a dynamic feeling.
As with any trend, if you’re hesitant on how to incorporate stripes into your home, start small.
Stripes also pair beautifully with florals, scalloped edges, and natural textures, so they can be a versatile addition to your 2025 spring decor.
How to Incorporate Bold Stripes
- Throw Pillows: An easy way to introduce bold stripes without commitment.
- Curtains: Vertical stripes can make a room feel taller, while horizontal stripes create a more expansive feel.
- Wallpaper: Bold, colorful stripes can create a dramatic accent wall or pinstripes can create a more classic look.
- Striped Upholstery: Consider an upholstered accent chair, ottoman, or bench.
- Striped Bedding: A striped duvet or quilt adds a crisp and tailored feel to the bedroom.
- Table Linens: Use striped table runners or napkins for an updated look to your dining setup.

pro Tip
- When decorating with bold stripes, balance them with solid colors and softer textures to keep them from feeling too busy. If you’re using a striped statement piece, like a rug or wallpaper, let it be the focal point and complement it with neutral or understated decor.
The Return of Cabbageware

One of the most delightful trends for spring 2025 is the return of ceramic cabbageware!
These charming dishes, bowls, and serving platters are designed to look like cabbage, and will bring a playful yet vintage inspired element to your home.
If you’re unfamiliar with cabbageware, it dates back to the 19th century but became popular in the mid-20th century, thanks to Portuguese ceramicist Bordallo Pinheiro.
His intricate, nature inspired designs turned these whimsical pieces into collectible works of art.
But you don’t need an expensive Bordallo Pinheiro piece to embrace this trend.
Many retailers are now offering their own versions, making it easier than ever to add a touch of cabbageware to your home at a more affordable price point.
Cabbageware is not just for special occasions.
These beautifully textured ceramics can be used for everyday meals, styled on open shelving, or displayed as decorative accents in a curio cabinet or hutch.

How to Incorporate Cabbageware
- Table Setting Charm: Use cabbageware plates and bowls for a fresh spring tablescape.
- Serve in Style: A cabbageware serving platter or salad bowl will make any meal feel extra special.
- Decorative Display: Stack cabbage plates or lean a large platter against the back of a kitchen hutch.
- Mix & Match: Pair cabbageware with classic white dishes or floral china to create a collected-over-time look.

pro Tip
- For a subtle touch of the cabbageware trend, start with a decorative bowl or serving dish rather than a full set. This allows you to test the look in your space and mix it effortlessly with your existing tableware. Plus, a single statement piece can have just as much impact as an entire collection!
