I don’t know about you, but when I learned about the passing of Diane Keaton, it hit me kind of hard.

She’s always been one of those rare people whose presence felt like comfort, both on and off screen.

When I think of timeless style, the kind that looks lived-in but beautifully pulled together, Diane Keaton is one of those people that instantly comes to my mind.

I grew up watching “Father of the Bride” more times than I can count.

It was one of those movies my sister and I never got tired of.

I think it was partly because of the story (I mean who doesn’t love a family wedding?) but mostly because of Diane Keaton’s character, Nina Banks.

There was something about her.

The soft sweaters, the charming kitchen, the chaos of the Banks’ house…that felt like home.

I remember watching the movie as a child, completely captivated by that California colonial house, thinking that’s the kind of home I want to have someday.

Even now, years later, I find myself channeling that same feeling in my own home.

The blend of comfort and sophistication, the slightly mismatched pieces that work together, the warmth that comes from family and love, it’s all so Diane Keaton.

She’s a reminder to me that a cozy home isn’t about perfection, but personality, heart, and the stories within its walls.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Avoid the stiff, don’t-touch-me look in a room, style throw blankets by casually draping them over the arm or back of a chair or sofa instead of neatly folding them.

Why this works: A loosely draped throw helps to soften the look of structured furniture and other hard edges in a room, which makes a space feel lived-in without looking messy.

9. CULINARY CORNER: APPLE CIDER GLAZED SALMON: Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Place 4 (6-oz) salmon fillets, skin side down. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup apple cider, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 minced garlic clove, and ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, then simmer 10–12 minutes until thickened. Brush salmon with glaze, season with salt and pepper, and bake 8–10 minutes, brushing again halfway through. Drizzle with extra glaze and top with sliced green onions.
