It’s officially been one year since I joined Yvonne and her Weekly Wednesday Wish List.

When I first hit publish on my first Wish List, I honestly had no idea it would become one of my favorite things I create each week.

Somewhere along the way, these posts have felt less like a blog post and more about friends who share a love of coziness, catching up on all the little things happening around our home.

5. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: Last week I shared my parsley pesto recipe, and this week I’m showing you one of my favorite ways to use it. This angel hair pesto pasta with roasted tomatoes and parmesan is on the table in under 30 minutes and is perfect for dinner on hot summer days.

7. MAKE THIS WITH ME: Don’t throw excess herbs from your garden away, learn how easy it is to dry them in the oven. Spread them on a parchment lined baking sheet, pop them in the oven on the lowest setting for 1 to 3 hours, and you’ll have homemade dried herbs that taste 100x better than what you can buy at the grocery store.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: I am always amazed at what a difference window treatments make in a room. These draperies, that I made, perfectly frame our boxed bay window and loveseat in the living room.

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Refresh your bookcases by arranging similar-colored books together instead of scattering them throughout the shelves. The grouped color creates a cleaner, more cohesive display.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that citronella plants don’t naturally repel mosquitoes very well on their own? You have to crush the leaves to release the oils. The candles and sprays work because they contain concentrated citronella oil.

4. FAVORITE PURCHASE: I recently purchased this for a bridal shower gift and it is gorgeous! Makes me want the entire set for my kitchen.

9. CULINARY CORNER: Easy Tomato Pie: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Halve 3 to 4 large tomatoes, squeeze out the juice, then roughly chop them to make about 3 cups. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and let them drain in a colander. Bake the store-bought 9-inch pie shell according to package directions, about 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Squeeze remaining moisture from tomatoes with paper towels. Spread 1/2 cup chopped onion over the pre-baked crust, top with the tomatoes, then scatter 1/4 cup thinly sliced basil over top. Mix 2 cups grated cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon hot sauce, and a sprinkle of black pepper together, and spread mixture evenly over the tomatoes. Bake at 350°F until browned and bubbly, 25 to 45 minutes.
